Inspiration Absinthe Who are we?

This whole ordeal started around 2013 when a friend gave me his families “Banana Wine” recipe. The wine was awful, and I inquired a bit more and he also gave me a drawing of a still and an idea of how to make one.

After Making the first few pressure cooker style stills and half a dozen batches of cheap sugar shines, I gave up on producing anything worth drinking. Years later I found myself in spirits retail and with a burgeoning interest in the production of spirits, I once more found myself distilling, but this time with a bit more knowledge. Gone were the days of simple sugar-based moonshines. The days of complex whiskies and botanical spirits had begun.

At this point I became obsessed with researching production, especially botanical spirits, and immediately fell in love with Absinthe. I began to apply for distilling jobs all over the country. The interviews I got went well, but the jobs I could get in the industry wouldn’t pay the bills, so I remain in retail.

Now, loaded with all the information I can gather, I’m elevating my craft once again. Slowly but surely working to start my own brands so I can follow my dream to create historical and culturally inspired spirits of supreme quality while still earning a livable wage.
