Inspiration Absinthe Swiss Blanche style Absinthe
Eminently smashable and extremely approachable for new absinthe drinkers, this style came out of the Swiss Alps durring the Absinthe ban. Absinthe, being a heritage drink for many swiss farmers didnt disappear when countries around the globe began to ban the green fairy. Instead, much like rural Americans during the dark years of Prohibition, took to the hills and hollers to contiue their traditional craft. Absinthe at this time (much like today) was inextricably entangled with the pale green hue it owes to certain botanicals used during a coloring step following distillation. To help their products fly under the radar, they moved the coloring botanicals into the maceration step pre-distillation. This Absinthe refferred to as a “Swiss Blanche” or Absinthe Le BLeu was clear and could easily pass as a spirit that was unaffected by the Absinthe ban. Our Swiss Blanch style absinthe embodies the spirit of defiance that kept the Absinthe traditino alive.
